In 2016, I inherited my aunt’s extensive shell collection, along with a large body of her artworks and writings. At the same time, my first son was born, intertwining inheritance and new life in a profound way. What began as the practical task of sorting and preserving the collection gradually evolved into an artistic inquiry. Together, we started to engage with the material—handling, organizing, reflecting, and documenting the process. This marked the beginning of a long term project rooted in family, memory, and transformation.
